Some Trips Cannot Be Done in a Day

Popular Multi-Day Routes from Toronto

The Ottawa Long Weekend. Departing Friday after work, arriving in Ottawa by midnight, two full days of Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, the ByWard Market, the Canadian Museum of History, and the National Gallery, returning Monday evening. Three days with one hotel block, one charter bus, and no one driving. Particularly popular for history-interested groups and families with children old enough for cultural programming.

Quebec City and Montreal. This is a four or five day trip from Toronto. Quebec City on day two, Montreal days three and four, return on day five. The St. Lawrence River approach to Quebec City on Highway 40 is dramatic.

The Maritimes Circuit. Halifax, Lunenburg, the Annapolis Valley, Prince Edward Island, the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton — this is seven to ten day territory from Toronto, and it is one of the great North American road trip itineraries. For groups with time and budget for a genuine adventure, a fully private Maritime charter is a once-in-a-decade experience.

Northern Ontario. Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie, the drive along Superior's north shore on the Trans-Canada — this is the Ontario that most Torontonians have never seen, and it is extraordinary. Three or four days through the Canadian Shield is one of the most scenically dramatic drives in the country.

Multi-day charters require more planning than single-day trips, but the coordination is straightforward when the group has a clear itinerary. The driver is engaged for the full duration of the trip. Accommodation at each overnight stop is arranged by the group separately.
